What is this?

I created this project to simply test and preview textures for my minecraft mods/resourcepacks, but more features are planned in the future!

And what does it do?

So far MRP is able to:

• Take in textures for all 6 side
  • The "Sides" Texutre is being applied to all sides
  • "Front", "Back", etc. change the side faces specifically
• Switch between 2 lighting modes
• Switch between different Cameras
• Switch between a static flat view and a rotation view
• Take a screenshot of the current view for making Icons
  • Flat view contains an "Icon View"

The app contains on screen controls for all actions!

CAUTION

This project was made in just 2 days and is just a simple prototype i use myself now, i have not tested it thorougly and have not tested it on other devices.

I assume there will be ALOT of bugs, i apolagize for any you encounter!! I will work on the project from time to time to try and make it decent enough to be used as a proper tool, any feedback and or feature suggestion are very welcomed!!

Future Plans and known issues:

• A proper GUI, with better calrification on what view you are on
• All textuers are currently locked at 16x16 pixels like the default minecraft textures
• a better system to switch between views and cameras
• saving block presets to look quickly switch between projects
• a proper display on the side showing what texture each face has
• drag an dropping textures
• live working (updating automatically when the file it has attached is updated)
• fixing up the controls
• Theme support and Settings for the application
• different resources to preview besides blocks
  • Item model mode for testing item textures and taking icon screenshots of them
    
  • potentially a minecraft skin head mode
  • custom model previews (you would obviously see them in blockbench anyways so maybe not)
• Support for animated textures
• And many more things i can't remember!
